Select Hockey
The Sharks came out with their second win of the season, 3-1 against the Ted Reeve Tornadoes. Ted Reeve took a very early lead, scoring about 29 seconds into the game. But the Sharks fought their way back up with two goals scored by Alex G. and one by Jamie. It was also Marcel's first win of the season. He played a great game, and faced quite a bit of rubber, especially from the 3 ginormus players on the team. Jacob M. also played a great game, trying his hardest to stop one of the biggest players on the team. Patrick also took a heavy hit. One other thing, the ref dissed us on our bad bodychecking. He said:"If your team came in to bodycheck someone with a dozen eggs in their equipment, they would come out with a dozen eggs". That means that we practically never check.

Humber Valley Select and House League hockey
Ok, let's start with the select game.
There were again, lots of penalties, but there were lots of missed or bad calls. First, Jack H. got suspended for pushing a player down, from behind. It should have been a major penalty at the most. We tied the team, 1-1. The Bulldogs (the team we faced) scored two goals that were not counted. One of them should have been counted. Otherwise, Ryan Fotes scored our only goal. It went off his head and in. Mark Del Fatti played a great game aswell, stopping 173 shots (just kidding).
Now for the house league game.
Well, the Teal team beat team White on the last game before the playoffs. It was a 5-4 game. We slowed down a little at the end. Oh yes, and from now on, our house league team is called the Humber Valley Penguins for the playoffs. We drew a name from a hat. Penguins three stars:
1. John "Monster" Munster
2. Zachary Hasoulos
3. Me
I know, you think I put me because I'm the person who runs the blog. I actually played a pretty good game. I scored a goal. The Penguins are going into the playoffs in third place out of four, I think.

Minor Peewee Select (Humber Valley Sharks)/PENALTY FEST!
Two Words:PENALTY FEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After winning their first game, so I hear (I wasn't there), the Sharks were confident to earn their second. Unfortunately, we lost 5-2 to the Leaside Flames, who invited us to their tournament. We started out okay, but then we broke down. It was a 1-1 game and Leaside just kept on scoring. Yes, about the Penalty fest, during the last oh, 7 or 8 minutes of the game, there were almost 15 penalties. The ref just kept on blowing the whistle. I would say the player who played the best was Alex G. or Erik the Virkus.

New Year's/ANOTHER Fire Drill Story
Well, yeah, it's new year's. Resolutions. I know this is kinda dumb, but if you want, you can post a comment telling me your new year's resolution. Now for the Fire drill story.
Fire Drill Story, volume 3. Today, during the last period of the day, there was yet ANOTHER practice fire drill. Today, if you live in T.O. (which means Toronto) you'd know that it was very cold and windy. So there I was, standing outside, with a short sleeve shirt. It was cold. VERY cold. Oh well, at least I didn't have gym during the fire drill, or I was in the bathroom. That would be funny, if someone was in the bathroom during that fire drill. Heh heh.
